Traffic Tragedy Claims the Lives of Two Victims in Davenport

Early last Sunday morning, the Davenport, Iowa community was plunged into grief following a horrific traffic accident. Two victims, James Montana (42 years old) and Cyrene Mckinley (38 years old), both from Dolton, Illinois, tragically lost their lives in an accident caused by a reckless driver.

According to local police, the incident occurred around 2 a.m. near the intersection of 7th St and Division St. At that time, a Chevrolet Impala was reportedly speeding at an alarming rate, causing concern for law enforcement, who attempted to intervene. However, the driver failed to comply with the stop order and continued to flee.

Minutes later, the vehicle overturned off the road and collided forcefully with a building near the intersection of 2nd St. James Montana, the driver, was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Medical professionals made every effort to save him, but he succumbed to his injuries due to their severity.

Meanwhile, passenger Cyrene Mckinley was confirmed to have passed away at the scene. Her untimely death has left the community deeply shaken.
