Kyle DeDonado, a Saranac resident and cherished member of the community, was tragically killed in a car accident near Lowell. According to close friends, DeDonado was en route to his evening janitorial job when the fatal collision occurred.
“He was more than just a great husband, father, and brother; he was a radiant soul full of kindness and happiness,” shared Michael McCarty, a dear friend of the deceased.
The devastating accident unfolded around 3 p.m. along Fallasburg Park Road, situated between Heim Street and Lincoln Lake Avenue. Authorities had to close the roadway in both directions for several hours as they conducted their investigation.
A 16-year-old Lowell resident, who was driving northbound on Fallasburg Park Road, reportedly veered across the centerline, colliding head-on with DeDonado’s pickup truck. By the time emergency services arrived at the scene, DeDonado’s vehicle was ablaze, and he was found deceased inside.
DeDonado was not just an ordinary citizen; he was an integral part of the local disc golf community. “If you knew Kyle, you would agree that his smile was infectious. He never missed an opportunity to greet you warmly and inquire about your family,” McCarty added.
Aged 31, Kyle DeDonado leaves behind a devastated wife and children. His untimely passing has sent shockwaves through the community he so deeply touched.
