Robert’s dedication and work ethic were evident throughout his impressive 37-year tenure at SKF. Yet, beyond professional endeavors, it was the Evangelical Brethren Church in Hanover that witnessed his unyielding faith and devotion. Here, Robert held significant roles, including that of Sunday School Director and custodian, reflecting his commitment to service and community. His profound faith, coupled with an innate sense of duty to his religion, formed the pillars of his existence.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Robert fondly remember his generous heart. His home was synonymous with hospitality, ensuring no visitor ever left with an empty stomach. As the holiday season approached, Robert’s passion for baking would come to the fore, filling homes with a delightful assortment of Christmas treats, lovingly shared with friends and family.

The legacy Robert leaves behind is enshrined in the hearts of his surviving family: his devoted children, Tina Hahn of Hanover and Donald Menges, along with his daughter-in-law, Jody, from New Oxford. The joy of his life extended to his four grandsons: Kyle, Kelsey, and Kaden Hahn, and the sparkles in his eyes, his four great-grandchildren: Levi and Greyson Walker, Ny’Kel Doughty-Miller, and Skylar Herrick. He is also remembered by his affectionate sister, Mary Menges of New Oxford.

In honor of Robert’s illustrious life, relatives and friends are warmly invited to a viewing ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, October 5th, between 6 to 8 p.m. It’s an opportunity to reminisce, celebrate, and pay tribute to a life beautifully lived.
